Canthaxanthin
Canthaxanthin belongs to a larger class of phytochemical, known as terpenoid. Its chemical formula is C40H52O2.
Canthaxanthin was first found by isolating edible mushrooms. It has also been found in green algae, bacteria, and crustaceans. Canthaxanthin can be used in coloring food, fast food, baking food, drink, jelly bears, confectionery products and dairy products.
