Vitamin E

 

 

Vitamin E generally refers to a group of fat-soluble compounds that include both tocopherols and tocotrienols. 
There are many different forms of vitamin E. Alpha-tocopherol is the most biologically active form of vitamin E. This variant of vitamin E is abundant in wheat germ oil, sunflower oil and safflower oil. It is a fat-soluble antioxidant that can stop the production of reactive oxygen species when fat undergoes oxidation.
