Pharmacological Actions
1. The whole nettle plant can be used as drug. Its taste is bitter with little sweetness. With its mild nature, it has weak toxicity.
2. The nettle extract is helpful in eliminating convulsion, promoting the blood circulation to relieve pain, helping digestion to relieve constipation and detoxification.
3. Embrocating it is useful for treating nettle-rash and by external application it can treat bites by poisonous insects and snakes.
4. By decocting the whole plant and drinking the juice, the nettle extract is intended to cure pain in the stomach and belly, postpartum convulsions and infantile convulsions of a child.
5. It can treat the rheumatic arthritis and its ache by decocting and bathing with the nettle extract.
6. Decocting its root with the root of jute, then use the juice to bathe. This can cure eczema, and works especially well for head eczema.
